Cup Semi Draw

So it's a Hearts - Hibs semi then! Not sure my nerves will take it, but maybe it'll be slightly less stressful than an all Edinburgh final. And what a coincidence - we'll be back for a few days over the weekend of 1st/2nd April - just in time to catch the game...

Reality Bites

Monday morning and reality hits home for the first time. Despite not setting the clock radio, I still woke at 6.59am precisely. It should have been a great feeling to turn over and go back to sleep for a while, as I listened to the neighbours scraping the frost off their cars, but I had this overwhelming feeling that I should be getting up and 'doing' something...

Anyway, lots of preparation needed this week, starting with a trip to the optician in Lanark today. So we are 'doing' something at least...

The morning after

Well, it's the morning after the night before and the first day of our new-found freedom - work is over, for the next few months anyway. So what does it feel like? Dunno really - nothing seems very different yet! What a wonderful feeling it will be not to have to get up on Monday morning though - he hee, not that we want to make you all jealous!

So, we've got two weeks of preparation before we head off to Madrid for a bit of a family reunion with Gav and Del. And from there the world is our oyster ...
